Whether you are self-isolating alone, with family or with flatmates, finding things to keep you and the kids amused can be tough. Which is why Motorino is excited to announce Hong Kong’s first virtual Pizza Making Party. On Saturday 11 April, Motorino will send you a pizza making kit (from $208 per person) complete with dough, toppings and a live stream masterclass to cook-along at home with.
Join Chef Luca Marinelli on Motorino’s Instagram Live at 12:30pm on Saturday 11 April to learn how to chop your ingredients, shape your dough, top and bake your pie. Chef Luca will be answering all your questions real-time, via the comments. Budding pizzaiolos will need to have a decent convection oven with a tray big enough to fit a regular 12-inch pizza, plus a little oil for greasing. Other than that Motorino will send everything you need, and the class will be suitable for even the most novice of home-cooks.
Of course, half the magic in Motorino’s pizze comes from the custom Stefano Ferrara ovens, so while you will not end up with a traditional Neapolitan pie, Motorino’s premium ingredients will serve as the foundation to something spectacular, even if it is thin and crispy. Plus it will taste better because you made it and real talk; who doesn’t need a pizza right now?
Orders can be placed either online (delivering anywhere from Cyberport to Quarry Bay) or GO users can order through the app. Choose between the classic Margherita kit ($208) or spice things up with the Soppressata Piccante kit ($228). GO will deliver everything direct to your door between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday morning.
Orders can be placed up until 2PM on Friday 10 April.
And if all that sounds like too much hard work, you can still join the pizza party and just order your cooked pie the regular way via GO.
Motorino is a Neapolitan pizzeria that uses the freshest, highest quality ingredients available flown in fresh from Naples. It offers an approachable menu of flavourful antipasti, inventive pizzas and satisfying desserts. Chef Mathieu Palombino’s first Motorino in Brooklyn, New York, is expressed in everything from the seasonally changing menu and the friendly service, to the music selection and rustic décor. Motorino Hong Kong has two locations: one off the escalator in the heart of SoHo and another on Ship Street in Wan Chai.
