Wander and Travel to… The Optimist as it Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Exclusive Menu

Celebrated Wan Chai restaurant, The Optimist, opened its doors five years ago this month on 239 Hennessy Road. To commemorate its half-decade special anniversary, The Optimist team, led by Executive Chef Jordi Valles, will prepare a one-night-only anniversary dinner on Thursday, 22 October 2020. Billed the 5 Years of Optimism Anniversary Dinner, this exclusive tasting menu features an experience packed with grilled, fan favourite signature dishes, such as the Chateaubriand and the Instagram foodie sensation, Juicy Lobster Rice. Guests will be warmly welcomed with complimentary Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne upon arrival.

The 5 Years of Optimism Anniversary Dinner is priced at HKD680 per person and is available on Thursday, 22 October 2020 from 18:00 till close.  Table bookings of 4 guests will receive a complimentary bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne. Reservations for less than 4 guests will receive a complimentary glass of said champagne each.

The Optimist was the second restaurant to open under Pirata Group after the flagship Italian restaurant, Pirata. The Optimist’s continued success has been pivotal to the group’s growth and development in Hong Kong. In the intervening years, Pirata Group has expanded to 11 different brands and 15 venues in various districts across Hong Kong, bringing delectable, international cuisine to diners—home-style Italian cuisine, neighbourhood pasta and pizza bar, Nikkei izakaya, modern Japanese and Indian flavours etc. Pirata Group co-founder Manuel Palacio shares: “Even though there are several restaurants to choose from Pirata Group, we have only one motive – to create extraordinary, memorable dining experiences centred around quality food, great service and value for money. We can’t wait to bring more exciting concepts to our guests.”
